Long before the turmoil of the Second World War, our current hotel opened its doors to guests and ran a brewery, which was already called “zum Breiterle” at the time. Despite the destruction caused by the war, our current hotel was rebuilt in 1947 in its original splendor and reopened its doors to welcome travelers.

Our era at the Hotel zum Breiterle began in 2004 when we, Annegret Hocher and Klaus Hocher, who had previously worked successfully at the Nuremberg Transport Museum since 1979, acquired the hotel. In the same year, our daughter Nicole Hocher and her husband Mike Hocher, both 30 years old at the time and with a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry, took over the management of the hotel. Nicole, a trained hotel manager, and Mike, an accomplished chef, brought a breathe new life and their experience into our hotel.

The history of our hotel is also being written by the youngest generation of our family. In 2023, our youngest daughter, Lara Hocher, just 20 years old, joined our team to carry on the precious family tradition. With her enthusiasm and commitment to hospitality, she continues the values of our family business and brings new energy to our hotel.
